‘Veep’: A New Comedy Series Starring Julia Louis-Dreyfus.

“Veep” is an upcoming HBO comedy series, created by Armando Iannucci and Simon Blackwell. The series is based on BBC television series “The Thick of It.” ”Seinfeld” and “The Adventures of Old Christine” veteran Julia Louis-Dreyfus returns to TV in this sassy, satire comedy as Selina Meyer, a former senator who becomes the Vice President of the United States, but soon realizes it is nothing like she expected. The first season will consist of eight-30 minutes episodes.

The series follows the former Senator’s “whirlwind day-to-day existence of the Vice President as she puts out political fires, juggles a busy public schedule, demanding private life, and defends the president’s interests, even as she tries to improve her dysfunctional relationship with the chief executive.”

…Anna Chlumsky as Amy Brookheimer, Meyer’s chief of staff, Tony Hale as Gary Walsh, Meyer’s right hand man and body man, Timothy Simons as Jonah Ryan, a White House liason, Matt Walsh as Mike Mclintock, Meyer’s longtime press spokesperson, Sufe Bradshaw as Sue Wilson, VP’s secretary and Reid Scott as Dan Egan, an ambitious interloper.

‘Girls:’ The Other Girls not portrayed in ‘Sex and the City’

What happens when a young female writer who lives in the big Apple and is financially cut off from her parents? Well, we will find out when “Girls” kicks off in a couple of weeks. “Girls” is a forthcoming comedy series on HBO. The series follows a couple of early 20′s years old friends as they discover their sexuality, self-esteem, adulthood and friendships in New York City. Lena Dunham (Tiny Furniture) created the series and is an executive producer with Judd Apatow and Jenni Konner. This awkward, sarcastic comedy was inspired by Dunham’s real-life experiences. The cast includes: Jemima Kirke, Allison Williams, Adam Driver and Zosia Mamet. The “girls”…

… Hannah (Lena Dunham), Jessa (Jemima Kirke), a space cadet, who wants to be an artist/educator, Marnie (Allisom Williams), is the responsible friend of the group, Hannah’s best friend and an ambitious assistant at a political PR firm, Adam (Adam Driver); Hannah’s boyfriend, Shoshanna (Zosia Mamet), is Jessa’s cousin and roommate.

‘Game of Thrones’: Winter is Coming. Are You Ready?

Sunday night just got better, the critically acclaimed series is back! We have been teased and taunted by HBO for too long.  At last! We can all relax now because “Game of Thrones” kicks off Sunday April 1. Finally! It feels like we have waited forever. We decided to create this post in honor of “Game of Thrones” premiering this weekend. In case you have forgotten the key events and main characters HBO created a 22 mins reminder for you. The show is based on the fantastic fantasy novel series, A song of Ice and Fire by George R. R. Martin.  who will be king? Lannister? Stark? Targaryen? Or Baratheon? Season 2 will adapt Martin’s second book A Clash of Kings. Of course it  have some new characters joining the series; a few strong female leads. Season two will also consist of ten episodes.
