Henry Ian Cusick, who played Stephen Finch, the womanizer on “Scandal” will not be returning for a second season. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Cusick’s contract was not picked up for another season. THR also indicates the exit was a “mutual decision.”

Henry Ian Cusick joins Tim Daly, Chyler Leigh and Kim Raver, stars of “Grey’s Anatomy” and “Private Practice” who were fired this season by Shonda Rhimes.
Meanwhile, TVGuide.com reports that Joshua Malina, who recurred in Season 1 as the U.S. Attorney David Rosen, has been promoted to series regular for the second season of ABC’s hit series, “Scandal.” Although Malina was featured in all seven episodes of the first season, Malina was considered a recurring actor.
