‘Scandal’ Scoop: Bellamy Young Becomes a Series Regular

According to TV Guide, Bellamy Young who plays Scandal‘s First Lady Mellie Grant has been promoted to a series regular for the second season of ABC’s hit series, “Scandal.”

During the first season, Young portrayed FLOTUS Mellie Grant, the wife of President Fitzgerald Thomas Grant, (Tony Goldwyn) who is in love with Olivia Pope (Kerry Washington).

This news comes days after Joshua Malina who recurred in Season 1 as the U.S. Attorney David Rosen, was promoted to series regular for the second season of “Scandal.”

Kate Walsh Leaving ‘Private Practice’: “This is my last season for ‘Private Practice’”

Kate Walsh confirms the upcoming sixth season of “Private Practice” will be her last.

Shocked? Not, actually.

The news comes as a shock to the audience. But Walsh’s departure has been speculated for weeks. Kate Walsh has played Dr., Addison Montgomery on “Private Practice,” a  character spun from “Grey’s Anatomy for seven years.

Walsh said, “This is my last season for ‘Private Practice.” ‘The actress made the announcement on Bethenny Frankel’s new talk show, “Bethenny.” “It’s been an incredible journey an amazing ride. I’m hugely, hugely grateful. It’s been a long time being Addison,” she continues. “I feel incredibly grateful to Shonda Rhimes and all the fans that have been there from Day 1 to now. I’m really excited about the last season.”

Walsh isn’t the only star leaving “Private Practice.” Walsh’s co-star, Tim Daly (Pete Wilder) announced his exit from PP on twitter in May.

The next season of “Private Practice,” which was renewed for 13 episodes will air Tues., 10/9c p.m. on ABC.
