Creator Terence Winter said in an interview with Huff Post TV, “We’re moving into 1923 when the Twenties really became the ‘Roaring Twenties.” The year 1923 explains the tagline, ‘you can’t be half a gangster,” a quote Jimmy once said to Nucky.

TNT Renews ‘Perception’ For A Second Season

Perception

TNT’s freshman has been renewed for a second season. The cable network has ordered a second season of 13 episodes, which is slated to air in 2013.

“Perception” follows Dr. Daniel Pierce, who is played by Eric McCormack, an eccentric neuroscience professor with paranoid schizophrenia who is recruited by his former student, FBI Agent Kate Moretti (Rachael Leigh Cook) to help solve complex cases.

Michael Wright, president, head of programming for TNT, TBS and Turner Classic Movies (TCM) said in a press release: “Perception has captured the imagination of TNT’s audience of armchair detectives with wonderfully intricate cases, emotionally charged situations and, of course, a terrific cast led by Eric McCormack. Daniel Pierce is a truly unique and fascinating addition to television’s pantheon of crime solvers. We look forward to seeing where Perception takes us next.”

“Perception” airs Mondays on TNT.

ABC Family Renews ‘Switched at Birth,’ ‘Baby Daddy,’ ‘Melissa & Joey’ and Orders more ‘Bunheads’

Abc family picks up more episodes of “Bunheads,” and in addition renewed “Melissa & Joey,” “Switched at Birth,” and “Baby Daddy.” Meanwhile “Jane By Design” has been cancelled.

“Baby Daddy” and “Switched at Birth” were renewed for sophomore seasons, while “Melissa & Joey” received a third season pickup. Theses comedy series (Baby Daddy and Melissa & Joey) will return in Spring 2013.

Kate Juergens, executive vice president, Original Series Programming and Development, ABC Family, said in a press release: “I’m so pleased to add more ‘Baby Daddy’ and ‘Bunheads’ to our lineup, …So many returning originals spotlight how well our programming resonates with our audience. It also furthers our promise to continue to deliver programming that is engaging, optimistic and relatable.”

This means Monday’s episode of “Bunheads” will be a summer finale. The hit drama series and “Switched at Birth” will return this Winter.

A teaser trailer of “American Horror Story: Asylum” was released today by FX. The teaser shows a nun -could it be Jessica Lange?-walking in a field as she stops to throw away a bucket of human parts as a church bell is ringing in the distance. The chilling teaser closes as she presses on with the second bucket of human parts.

‘American Horror Story’ Gets a New Name

“American Horror Story: Asylum” stars Jessica Lange, Adam Levine, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Lily Rabe, Zachary Quinto, James Cromwell, Chloe Sevigny and Joseph Fiennes. The series takes place in a mental institution.

“American Horror Story: Asylum” premieres in October.
