Doug Jones & ‘ER’ Alums Join ‘Falling Skies’ And More Casting News

“Falling Skies” season 3 doesn’t premiere until 2013 below are some interesting casting news.

According to EW, Doug Jones has been tapped to play the new humanized alien who was introduced at the second season finale of “Falling Skies.”

Also joining the cast of TNT’s Sci-fi drama are “ER” alums Gloria Reuben and Robert Sean Leonard.  Deadline reports, Leonard will portray Roger Kadar, PhD, a genius also know as “The Rat King.” Kadar runs Charleston’s power grid and lives underground with his pet rats.

Meanwhile, Gloria Reuben will play an intelligent woman with “political knowledge and experience [that] could prove extremely helpful to Tom.”

Both actors will recur in a five-episode arc of “Falling Skies”‘s upcoming season.

In other casting news…

Maulik Pancholy, who starred as Neal on “Whitney” will reprise his role as Jack Donaghy’s (Alec Baldwin) assistant Jonathan on NBC comedy series “30 Rock.” [TV Guide]

Mädchen Amick will guest-star in The CW new series “Beauty and Beast.” The “Twin Peaks” vet will play Lois, a wealthy polo-club president. [TVLine]

Denise Richards has been cast as Gwen in “90210″‘s 100th episode. Gwen is described as a ”sexy West Beverly High School Alum turned wealthy socialite.” [EW]

“Tank Girl” vet Tori Petty will cross paths with Fiona and Steve as Valerie in Showtime’s “Shameless.” [TV Guide]

The Campaign star, Thomas Middleditch has been cast as Jeb, Dwight’s younger brother on “The Office, TVLine reports. In addition, Matt Jones has been tapped to play Dwight’s mysterious cousin Zeke. [THR]

“The West Wing” alum, Timothy Busfield has landed a guest role on Fox’s new crime drama, “The Mob Doctor.” Busfield is set to guest star as John Ellis, s a dirty congressman. Joining the TV vet in a guest role is ”Friday Night Lights” alum Jurnee Smollett. She will play a pregnant prostitute. [TV Guide]

“Men at Work” has tapped Maz Jobrani (Better Off Ted) to appear as an owner of a Lebanese chicken restaurant who becomes Gibbs’ friend. [TVLine]

Brooklyn Silzer is set to Lucy, Danny and Lindsay’s daughter on “CSI: NY.” Twins Nadia and Talia Hartounian previously played Lucy. [TV Guide]

‘Hawaii Five-0′ Casts T.I. And More Casting News

Big names are coming to “Hawaii Five-0.”

Rapper T.I. joins previously announced Terrence Howard and Kendall Jenner as a guest star in the forthcoming season of “Hawaii Five-0.”

TVLine reports, the rapper is set to play a crime offender who appears via flashback in an Oct. episode.

Additionally, Arielle Kebbel (90210) and Robbie Amell (Revenge) have been booked to guest star in the CBS drama. According to TVLine, Kebbel and Amell are set to portray a couple who pays a fortune-teller a visit and faces “devastating consequences.”

“Hawaii Five-0″ returns Mon., Sept 24 on CBS.

In other casting news…

Tessa Ferrer has been cast to recur in “Grey’s Anatomy.” Little is known about the actress’ character, but we are guessing Ferrer will intern at the another hospital. [TVLine]

Malin Akerman has been booked to appear in “Suburgatory” as Tessa’s mother. The Rock of Ages star is set to appear in the Thanksgiving and Christmas episodes of the upcoming season. [EW]

Garcelle Beauvais will portray Miranda, an owner of a radio station who has a crush on Dule in “Psych.” [TVLine]

Paloma Guzmán has been tapped to guest star on “Person of Interest.” The “Pretty Little Liars” vet will play a spoiled, smart daughter of a Brazilian diplomat.  [TVLine]

Michael Vartan is set to guest star on “Go On.” Vartan will play a hockey player who plays with Matthew Perry’s character. [TVLine]

Mircea Monroe will reprise her role as Tancy, Wade’s ex-wife for multi-episode arc in “Hart of Dixie.” [TVLine]

‘Grey Anatomy’ Season 9 Promo: Who Will Survive?

The previous season of “Grey’s Anatomy” ended with a deadly plane crash that killed Lexie Grey.

The upcoming season will feature some ramifications following the plane crash. In an interview with TVGuide, Showrunner Shonda Rhimes said, “their attitudes are very different. They already have the coping mechanisms in place, so it’s just a very different attitude.”
