It was announced last night that, “Treme” which premieres tonight at 9 p.m. on HBO has be renewed for a fourth and final season according to series creators David Simon. The show creator reports the last season will be shorter, but the premiere date or the number of episodes ordered have not be revealed. [Nola]

The Obamas: President Barack Obama and the First Lady, Michelle, will make their first joint appearance on “The View” next Tuesday. Will you tune in? [Huff Post]

Regis Philbin is back on daytime TV with a monthly gig on Rachael Ray, titular show. “I’m just a guy showing up on her show once a month,” the former Live! host tells USA Today. “It’s fun to be back on TV when you don’t have to do it every day.”

Maksim Chmerkovskiy announced Wednesday, he will be leaving “Dancing With the Stars” after 15 seasons. Will you miss him? [Hollywood Life]

JoBeth Williams, who plays Addison’s mom on “Private Practice” has been cast to play the mother of Alyssa Milano and Jes Macallan’s characters in “Mistresses.” [TVLine]

Matthew Broderick has bee tapped to guest-star on the ABC comedy’s “Modern Family” as Phil’s neurotic new friend.

Anthony Michael Hall has booked a guest role in “Psych.” Hall will play Harris Trout, a well-dressed eccentric police consultant who is recruited by the mayor him to help make the SBPD run more efficiently. [TVLine]

The original “Teen Mom” cast will return to MTV for two specials. According to MTV, the specials will air:

During this half-hour special, Maci, Farrah, Amber and Catelynn will answer fan questions and discuss the series, their love lives, the realities of filming and more.

Alex Karpovsky, who plays Ray on “Girls,” will guest star on “Law & Order: SVU”‘s 300th episode, which airs Oct. 24. [TVLine]

Amanda Tapping has been cast to recur as Naomi, who is described as a “cool and mysterious, part of a new group of angels we’ve never seen before” in “Supernatural”s forthcoming season. Additionally, Mike Farrell, “M*A*S*H” alum has been tapped to guest star as Fred Jones in 8th episode of the season. [TVLine]

Anastasia Griffith who recurred on “Once Upon A Time” has booked a guest star role on Cinemax’s “Banshee.” Griffith will play a prison psychiatrist who treats Lucas, he main character of the new series. [TVLine]

“Tosh.O’ has been renewed for a fifth season of 30 episodes by Comedy Central. [EW]

FX has renewed its late-night series “Totally Biased With W. Kamau Bell” for a second season which debuts October 11 at 11:30 pm.

“Love & Hip Hop”‘s spinoff Chrissy & Mr. Jones premieres tomorrow on VH1 at 9:30/8:30c. Watch the promo below.
