George Takei and Nicole Richie are heading to “The New Normal.”
Showrunner Ryan Murphy tweeted the news yesterday saying: “Proud to announce Nicole Richie and the legendary George Takei are joining “The New Normal family.”"
According to EW, Takei and Richie will be portraying themselves on the comedy series.
“The New Normal” airs Tuesdays, at 8:30c on NBC.

“Star Trek” alum Armin Shimerman will guest star as Benjamin Donnely, a “tech geek who manufactures authentic props for people’s costumes at sci-fi conventions” on ABC’s “Castle.” [TV Guide]

“Breaking Bad” alum Mark Margolis who played Hector “Tio” Salamanca on the series has been cast to recur in the “Asylum.” Details about his role are scarce, but Margolis will play Sam Goodwin in “American Horror Story: Asylum.” [EW]
Michael Trucco “Battlestar Galactica” alum has been cast in a recurring role in “Revenge.” Trucco will play Nate, a street-smart, charismatic and slightly menacing brother of Kenny “Teen Wolf’s” JR Bourne, a new Hamptons resident. As previously reported, Trucco is set to appear in “How I Met Your Mother” as Robin’s crush. [TVLine]
