The Following, new girl, mindy project, and raising hope renewed

Fox announced Monday, new series “The Following” and “The Mindy Project” along with returning comedies “Raising Hope” and “New Girl” have been renewed for the network’s 2013-2014 lineup.

On “The Following” second season pick up, Chairman of Entertainment, Fox Broadcasting Company, Kevin Reilly said, “From the very beginning, we felt Kevin Williamson and Marcos Siega had created a high-quality, edge-of-your-seat drama that could break from the pack, and it is exciting to see the audience responding. Kevin Bacon and James Purefoy have given us two of the most compelling characters on television and the entire cast is incredible. I’m delighted to have this thrill ride continue on FOX for another season.”

Comedies “Mindy Project” received a second season order, “New Girl” received a third season pick up and “Raising Hope” was renewed for a fourth season. These renewals follow drama series “Bones” ninth season pick up.
