Gcb

We know this is the last season of Desperate Housewives and ABC  is ready to fill its spot with this new drama/comedy…GBC!  One of the most anticipated shows this year, from the creators of ‘Sex in the City’ and writers of Steel Magnolias. GCB – (formerly Good Christian Bitches) is an acronym for Good Christian Belles. The series is based on the book Good Christian Bitches by Kim Gatlin. It stars Leslie Bibb, Kristin Chenoweth, Jennifer Aspen, Miriam Shor, Marisol Nichols and Annie Potts. Ten episodes will be produced for the first season.

The series follows Amanda Vaughn (Leslie Bibb), a reformed “mean girl” in high school, who is forced to return home, to Dallas after her marriage ends in disgrace. As a new single mother of two, Amanda turns to her mother, Gigi (Annie Potts) for help. Nobody but Gigi is excited to see her Amanda; her former friends are not too happy to see her back in town.

Her former  ”friends”…

Carlene Cockburn (Kristin Chenoweth), the ugly duckling, who was once tortured by Amanda in high school is the Good Christian’s Dallas and GCB Queen. Carlene has had a lot of assisted transformations since high school; she lives the lavish lifestyle with a perfect husband.

Cricket Caruth-Reily (Miriam Shor), who was robbed of her boyfriend by Amanda, who she later married is a hot, successful businesswoman in Dallas, Cricket’s life seems perfect.

Then there is Sharon Peacham (Jennifer Aspen, the former beauty queen in high school) is insecure and full-figured. She has not been the same since Amanda spread a nasty rumor that sabotaged Sharon from being crowned Miss Teen Dallas.

and last but not least, there is Heather Cruz (Marisol Nichols, who was known as the high school queen of gossip) has become one of the pretentious God-fearing women of Dallas.
