Betsy Brandt Joins Michael J. Fox’s Series And More Casting News

Betsy Brandt is heading to NBC’s new sitcom.

According to THR, the “Breaking Bad” actress has joined Michael J. Fox’s untitled new NBC sitcom as Fox character’s wife Annie. Annie is described as being “tough yet loyal with a goofy side.”

Brandt joins previously cast: Katie Finneran (“I Hate My Teenage Daughter”) will play Fox’s sister on the show, Wendell Pierce (“Treme”) will play Fox’s boss and Conor Romero (“Person of Interest”) will play his college drop-out son.

NBC has ordered 22 episodes of the comedy series, which is expected to debut this fall.

Rosemarie DeWitt is leaving “The Newsroom.” The “United States of Tara” actress is leaving the show due to scheduling conflicts after shooting only a couple of episodes for the series second season. DeWitt, who was cast as Rebecca Halliday, will be replaced by another actress.

There is a mini Huxtable reunion taking place at NBC. Keshia Knight Pulliam has been cast to guest star on “Guys With Kids” as Bridget, Marny’s (Tempestt Bledsoe) sister. Bridget is described as a fun, irresponsible woman who visits her sister after a bad breakup. The casting will reunite the TV sisters. [TV Guide]

“Melrose Place” alum Heather Locklear is joining the TNT drama “Franklin & Bash” as a series regular. The TV veteran will play Rachel King, “a stunning trial lawyer, with stiletto heels and clothes tailored within an inch of their life.”

Bethenny Frankel is stopping by “The Neighbors.” The “Real Housewives” alumna will guest star in an upcoming episode of the comedy series as a businesswoman who works to help launch Debbie Weaver’s (Jami Gertz) handbag business. [EW]

Dallas Roberts and Anika Noni Rose are heading to “The Good Wife.”

According to TV Guide,  Alicia’s baby brother Owen will return to the series when Stockard Channing makes her debut as Alicia’s mum.

Also reprising her role on the drama series is Anika Noni, who played Wendy Scott-Carr. Noni, who recurs on “Private Practice” has been cast of an episode but, TV Guide reports Executive producer Robert King said Noni’s return “could extend to three” episodes.

Annie Wersching will recur on “Dallas.“ The “24″ alum actress will recur as an “ambitious and sexy transportation commissioner” with a  possible love interest for John Ross on the soap. [TVLine]

“ER” alum Ming-Na has been booked in ABC’s “S.H.I.E.L.D.” She will play Agent Melinda May, a damaged, but soulful solider who is an ace flier and weapons expert. [Deadline]

Colton Haynes Leaving ‘Teen Wolf’ And More Casting

Colton Haynes is reportedly leaving “Teen Wolf.”

E! Online reports, Colton Haynes who starred as a Kanima turned to a werewolf will not return to the series due to failed contract negotiations.

A spokesperson for MTV denies the rumor, saying that there is “absolutely no truth that Colton is being pushed out or that he, or any cast member, is being replaced. We love Colton and look forward to his returning with the entire cast for season 3 of Teen Wolf.”

Meanwhile, Haynes tweeted, “These past few yrs have been the best of my life. I’m sad that this chapter has ended, but excited for a new one to begin. Thx for the love.”

Patrick Fischler And Tony Denison to Appear on ‘Castle’ And More Casting News

“Lost” vet Patrick Fischler and Tony Denison “The Closer” alum will guest star on “Castle.”

The duo will appear in “Castle’s” mob episode, which is expected on Nov.19. Fischler will play Leo Conrad, a witness to a murder who Castle and Beckett protect from a 
team of ruthless gangsters.

Meanwhile, Denison has been cast to play an enforcer involved with the McElroy family named Mickey Dolan.

“Castle” airs Mondays on ABC.

‘Lost’ Alum Elizabeth Mitchell Joins ‘Revolution & More Casting News

“Lost” star, Elizabeth Mitchell has joined executive producer J.J. Abrams on NBC new show “Revolution.”

Mitchell will portray Rachel Matheson, the mother of Charlie (Tracy Spiridakos) and Danny Matheson (Graham Rogers).

More “Revolution” casting mews, ”Friday Night Lights” star, Daniella Alonso has joined the cast of “Revolution” as Nora, reports EW. Nora is described as “rebel fighter, battling against the militia that controls North America.” She has a lot of ‘rough water under the bridge with Miles, Billy Burke’s character.” Alonso’s character also like to blow stuff up.

‘”Revolution”  premieres Monday, Sept. 17 at 10/9c.

Marin Hinkle has been made a series regular on NBC’s “Infamous.” Hinkle will play the wife of the Lawsons’ oldest child (Tate Donovan). [Deadline]

Erinn Hayes has also joined NBC’s “Guys With Kids,” as a series regular. The actress will play Shelia, an ambitious attorney who is Chris’ (Jesse Bradford) ex-wife. The divorced couple share custody of their 9-month-old son. The series debuts Wed., Sept. 12 at 10/9c. [EW]

The full cast of ”Community” will be back for season 4. Yes, you read it right. Despite the conflict with the previous showrummer, Dan Harmon, the cast: Joel McHale, Danny Pudi, Gillian Jacobs, Alison Brie, Yvette Nicole Brown, Donald Glover, Jim Rash, Ken Jeong and Chevy Chase will be back this fall for a fourth season premiere on Friday, Oct 19 at 8:30 p.m. ET.

TVLine reports ABC’s “666 Park Avenue”  has promoted guest-star, Erik Palladino to a series regular. Palladino guest-starred as a doorman, Tony DeMeo in the forthcoming pilot. The premiere date hasn’t been announced yet.

Lastly, “Secret Circle” star, Chris Zylka has landed a gig on FX’s “American Horror Story.” The actor will play Daniel, “the most beautiful boy in the world,” who is deaf-mute.
