“So You Think You Can Dance” has been picked up for a tenth season, Fox announced Thursday.
“I couldn’t be more proud of the amazing work that Nigel [Lythgoe] and the entire ‘So You Think You Can Dance’ team has done over the past nine seasons,” Fox’s president of Alternative Entertainment Mike Darnell said. “This show is truly one of the most compelling series on television and I can’t wait to bring it back for Season 10.”
The Emmy-winning dance competition show, with auditions kicking off on Fri., Jan. 18, 2013, ranked No. 1 in its time period among adults 18-49, and adults 18-34 demographic.
“So You Think You Can Dance” season 10 is slated to premiere in Summer 2013.
“Scandal” alum Henry Ian Cusick has joined “The Mentalist.”
According to Deadline, the “Lost” alum will join the crime drama as Tommy Volker, a rich playboy who might be tied to a reporter’s murder. Cusick has been cast to recur for a three-episode arc in the series’ upcoming fifth season.
Until recently, Cusick was a series regular on ABC’s “Scandal.”
“The Mentalist” returns Sun., at 9 p.m. on CBS.

“So You Think You Can Dance” season 9 winners: Eliana Girard and Chehon Wespi-Tschopp has been nabbed to play Katarina Wirz and Rocko respectively in an upcoming dancing episode on “Bones.”Joining them are judges Mary Murphy and Tyce Diorio, who will be playing themselves, and former contestant and occasional choreographer Dmitry Chaplin, who will play a dancing pro in the episode. “Parenthood” star Lauren Graham will guest star as a college friend, former co-worker and ex-lover of Ryan (Matthew Perry) on “Go On.” [EW]
“Malcolm In The Middle’s” mom Jane Kaczmarek will stop by “The Middle.” The Emmy nominee actress will play Patricia Heaton’s Frankie career-college teacher. [THR]
Chelan Simmons (Wonderfalls) has been cast in NBC’s “Hannibal.” Bryan Fuller shared the casting scoop via Twitter; Simmons is said to play her “Wonderfalls’” character on the midseason series.
“Rizzoli & Isles’s” Bruce McGill has tapped a potential recurring role on “The Good Wife.” The veteran actor will portray a legend lawyer, who has argued in front of the Supreme Court more times than anyone else, and also served as a consultant to four U.S. Presidents. [TVLine]
Olivia Munn is joining the adorkable comedy “New Girl” for an arc this season. Munn is set to Angie, Nick’s (Jake Johnson) sexy love interest. [Deadline]
Last night Showtime’s ‘Homeland” and FX’s “Louie” won big at the Television Critics Awards.
“Louie” which was renewed for a fourth season yesterday, won the best comedy and Louis C.K. won the individual achievement in comedy. While Showtime’s freshman drama, “Homeland” took home the outstanding new program, and Claire Danes picked up the individual achievement in drama.
It was rumored, and now it has finally been confirmed. Britney Spears and Demi Lovato are the new “X Factor” judges! The news was released earlier this week. Spears and Lovato will replace the former females judges of “X Factor” Scherzinger and Abdul. The singing competition returns Wednesdays this fall on FOX.

The Kardashians are back. E! hit reality series “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” kicks off tomorrow night at 9/8c with an hour premiere . The seventh season of the “Kardashians” will consists of 18-hour long episodes, which is more than the previous seasons. Below is the trailer, take a peek.
Also kicking off with an hour premiere is E!’s “Mrs. Eastwood and Company.” The reality show stars Dina Eastwood, Clint Eastwood’s wife, his two teenage daughters, Francesca and Morgan, and an a cappella group, called Overtone. The reality show will follow the life and of Dina as she manages her career, family, and love. The series premieres at 10/9c on E!

“Duets,” two-hour series premieres on Thurs., May 24, 8/7c p.m. on ABC. The network first singing competition will star Kelly Clarkson, Robin Thicke, John Legend, Jennifer Nettles as not only judges but also partners, singing partners with their chosen contestants.
“Men at Work,” series premiere on Thurs., May 24, 10/9c on TBS. The series follows four friends: Danny Masterson as Milo, James Lesure as Gibbs, Adam Busch as Neal, Michael Cassidy as Tyler as they navigate life, love and friendships. The season will consist of ten episodes.
Sad news “Game” fans! The main characters Pooch Hall (Derwin) and Tia Mowry (Melanie) will not return for the sixth season of ”The Game.” It was confirmed earlier this week, BET has said that it is “in the process of reworking the casting and storyline.” Although, producers hope Pooch and Tia will pop in occasionally to “make several guest appearances.”
More BET news, it was also confirmed this week that Terrence J and Rocsi, the hosts of “106 and Park” will be leaving the show after seven years. The duo is moving on to better and bigger things, Terrence J continues to rock Hollywood with movies like “Think Like A Man” and “Burlesque.” While, Rocsi is the host of a national syndicated radio show, ‘Rocsi On The Radio’ and will be pursuing a career in acting.
Glee news! During FOX’s upfront this week, Ryan Murphy, the creator of “Glee” confirmed that the main cast of the hit show will return for the fourth season.
