CBS Finale Dates Announced

CBS has scheduled all of its season finale dates, airing April 28 through May 22.

Reality series “Survivor,” “The Amazing Race,” and crime procedural series “Criminal Minds” and “Elementary” will air two-hour season finales.

Maggie Smith Returns To ‘Downton Abbey’ And More Casting News

Maggie Smith Downton Abbey Season 4

The Dowager Countess will be back for another season at least.

According to TVLine, Sunday’s Golden Globe winner for Best Actress in a TV Drama Series Maggie Smith will return to “Downton Abbey” for season 4.

“Downton Abbey” airs Sundays, 9 p.m. EST on PBS.

More casting news…

“Friday Night Lights” vet Jurnee Smollett has been cast to appear on “Do No Harm.” Smollett will appear in three episode-arc of the drama as Phylicia Rashad’s character’s daughter. [TVLine]

Scott Foley is heading to “Scandal” for a guest star role. However, details surrounding his role are being kept under warps. Foley is expected to appear in a major arc in the series. [TVLine]

“Under the Dome” has cast Colin Ford as its first series regular. Ford will play Joe, a teen who lives in the small town that gets placed under the dome in the new CBS series based on Stephen King’s book. [THR]

“Private Practice’s” alumna Audra McDonald  has booked a guest role on “The Good Wife.” McDonald will play Alicia’s enemy from their Georgetown Law School days. McDonald is only slated for one episode at the moment, but will possibly have an arc. [THR]

CBS Summer Schedule Revealed: ‘Big Brother’ Debuts Early, ‘Under The Dome’ & ‘Unforgettable’ Premiere Dates Announced

Cbs unveiled its summer schedule today at the Television Critics Association winter press tour.

The highly anticipated drama “Under the Dome,” premiere date and the resurrected series “Unforgettable” season two premiere date have been announced.

“Under the Dome,” a 13-episode, drama series based on Stephen King’s best-seller will debut on Monday, June 24, at 10/9c. “Under the Dome” follows a small town that is inexplicably sealed off from the rest of the world by a transparent dome, and subsequently subject to post-apocalyptic conditions, while searching for answers to what this barrier is, where it came from and if and when it will go away.

Summer’s guilty pleasure, “Big Brother” season 15 will be expanded this year. The series will launch two weeks earlier than its usual time on Wednesday, June 26, at 9/8c pm. BB15 will air Tuesdays at 9/8c beginning July 2, live eviction airs Wednesdays at 9/8c beginning July 3, and Sundays at 8/7c.

Meanwhile, Poppy Montgomery’s ”Unforgettable” will return for its second season on Sunday, July 28, at 9 pm.

Matthew Perry to Return to ‘The Good Wife’ And More Casting News

“Go On” star Matthew Perry is set to reprise his role on “The Good Wife.”

According to CBS, Matthew Perry will reprise his guest role as Mike Kresteva, a slick Chicago attorney who is running against Peter Florrick for the governorship.

Perry’s episode is slated to air in early 2013.

In more casting news…

“The Newsroom” has cast former “United States of Tara” actors Patton Oswalt and Rosemarie DeWitt in recurring role in its upcoming season. DeWitt will play Rebecca Halliday, a litigator who defends Atlantis Cable News in a wrongful termination suit. Oswalt will portray Jonas Pfeiffer, the new vice president of human resources at ACN. [Deadline]

Brittany Snow is joining “Ben And Kate” as Lila, a love interest for Tommy in multiple episode arc. [E! Online]

Hal Linden will appear on “The Mindy Project.” The titular star of “Barney Miller” is joining the Fox comedy as nursing home resident, Manny, who’s a former Army drill sergeant. [TVLine]

D.B. Woodside (“Buffy the Vampire Slayer”)  has booked a multiple-episode arc on “Emily Owens, M.D.” freshman drama. Woodside will play Evan, the husband of the intimidating Dr. Gina Bandari (Necar Zadegan). [THR]

Dallas Roberts and Anika Noni Rose are heading to “The Good Wife.”

According to TV Guide,  Alicia’s baby brother Owen will return to the series when Stockard Channing makes her debut as Alicia’s mum.

Also reprising her role on the drama series is Anika Noni, who played Wendy Scott-Carr. Noni, who recurs on “Private Practice” has been cast of an episode but, TV Guide reports Executive producer Robert King said Noni’s return “could extend to three” episodes.

“Rescue Me” vet  Adam Ferrera is joining “Nurse Jackie” in a recurring role as a love interest for Jackie. Ferrera will play an NYPD officer and is set to recur throughout Season 5. [TVLine]

“Guys With Kids” nabs Erine Hudson. The “Ghostbusters” vet will play Marney’s (Tempestt Bledsoe) dad on the comedy series. [TV Guide]

Annie Wersching will recur on “Dallas.“ The “24″ alum actress will recur as an “ambitious and sexy transportation commissioner” with a  possible love interest for John Ross on the soap. [TVLine]

“ER” alum Ming-Na has been booked in ABC’s “S.H.I.E.L.D.” She will play Agent Melinda May, a damaged, but soulful solider who is an ace flier and weapons expert. [Deadline]

Michael J. Fox & T.R. Knight to Appear on ‘Good Wife’ And More Casting News

Michael J. Fox is heading to Lockhart/Gardner again.

According to TVLine, the actor will reprise his role as Louis Canning — the head of Lockhart/Gardner’s rival law firm — on “The Good Wife.” Fox is set to appear on the series’ eleventh episode, which is set to air in January 2013.

Also heading to the law firm is “Grey’s Anatomy’s” T.R. Knight.

Knight, who played Dr. George O’Malley on ABC’s “Grey’s Anatomy” has been cast to guest-star as a political operative on the drama series, EW reports.

Adam Baldwin has been cast to replace Titus Welliver on TNT’s “The Last Ship. Welliver has opted out of pilot due to a health emergency [Deadline]

Mark-Paul Gosselaar has been tapped to play Tim, a handsome doctor, who is Amy’s (Meredith Hagner) ex-boyfriend on “Men At Work.” [THR] Additionally, Gosselaar will appear on ABC’s “Happy Endings” as Chase, Max’s mysterious roommate. [EW]

Kuno Becker is heading to “Dallas.” Becker will play Andres, Elena’s (Jordana Brewster) troubled brother. [TV Guide]

Betsy Brandt, “Breaking Bad” star has been cast to guest star on “Parenthood” for an episode. Brandt will guest star on “Parenthood” as the ex-wife of Ray Romano’s Hank Rizzoli. [TV Guide]

Wyclef Jean will be visiting ”Nashville.” Jean will play the head of a music label on the new ABC drama. [THR]

“The House of Payne’s” J.R. Ramirez has joined “Emily Owens, M.D.” in a recurring role. Ramirez will play a confident doctor named AJ, who returns to the hospital after a leave of absence. [TV Guide]

Laurie Metcalf “Roseanne” vet will appear in a multi-episode arc on Fox’s new comedy series “The Goodwin Games.” Metcalf will play Scott Foley’s character’s boss, Dr. Richland, who makes a surprise suggestion to get Foley’s character back on track at work. [TVLine]

Colton Haynes Leaving ‘Teen Wolf’ And More Casting

Colton Haynes is reportedly leaving “Teen Wolf.”

E! Online reports, Colton Haynes who starred as a Kanima turned to a werewolf will not return to the series due to failed contract negotiations.

A spokesperson for MTV denies the rumor, saying that there is “absolutely no truth that Colton is being pushed out or that he, or any cast member, is being replaced. We love Colton and look forward to his returning with the entire cast for season 3 of Teen Wolf.”

Meanwhile, Haynes tweeted, “These past few yrs have been the best of my life. I’m sad that this chapter has ended, but excited for a new one to begin. Thx for the love.”

It has been official: Sean Lowe is the new bachelor.

ABC announced earlier last week, that Sean who competed for Emily Maynard’s heart on “The Bacherotte” has been cast as “The Bachelor.”

The 28-year-old Dallas “businessman and entrepreneur” who made it to the final three in the last season of “The Bachelorette” has decided it is the right time for him to make the “ultimate commitment to the right woman and to start his own family.”

“The Bachelor” returns to ABC for its 17th season in January 2013.

‘Lost’ Alum Joins ‘Mentalist’ And More Casting News

“Scandal” alum Henry Ian Cusick has joined “The Mentalist.”

According to Deadline, the “Lost” alum will join the crime drama as Tommy Volker, a rich playboy who might be tied to a reporter’s murder. Cusick has been cast to recur for a three-episode arc in the series’ upcoming fifth season.

Until recently, Cusick was a series regular on ABC’s “Scandal.”

“The Mentalist” returns Sun., at 9 p.m. on CBS.

“So You Think You Can Dance” season 9 winners: Eliana Girard and Chehon Wespi-Tschopp has been nabbed to play Katarina Wirz and Rocko respectively in an upcoming dancing episode on “Bones.”Joining them are judges Mary Murphy and Tyce Diorio, who will be playing themselves, and former contestant and occasional choreographer Dmitry Chaplin, who will play a dancing pro in the episode. [TVLine]
