‘CSI: NY’ Alum Joins ‘Covert Affairs’ And More Casting News

Hill Harper joins covert affairs

“CSI: NY” star Hill Harper is heading to “Covert Affairs.”

The crime-procedural actor has been cast in the drama series as a series regular, according to The  Hollywood Reporter.

Harper will play an “ambitious, intelligent and slightly cocky,” CIA station chief in Latin America, who will be looking to make the transition from the CIA’s Latin America station back to Washington.

Harper’s character will try to enlist the help of Annie and Auggie to help him accomplish that goal.

According to TVLine, Harper will not continue with “CSI: NY” if the series get renewed for a Season 10.

“Covert Affairs” returns this summer.

The CW Renews ‘Arrow,’ ‘Supernatural’ & ‘Vampire Diaries’

Arrow Renewed for a second season

The hood will be back for a second season.

Freshman series “Arrow” will return for a second season, while returning series “Vampire Diaries” has been picked up for a fifth season and “Supernatural,” a ninth season, The CW announced Monday.

“We said last year that one of our goals was to establish building blocks to grow on, and now with our new hit “Arrow” and fan favorite “Supernatural” on Wednesday night, and the continued success of “The Vampire Diaries” on Thursday, we’ve been able to do that,” said CW president Mark Pedowitz in a statement. “Not only do [all] perform well on-air, they’re also extremely successful for us both digitally and socially. I’m thrilled to have all three shows returning to our schedule next season.”

“The Vampire Diaries,” “Arrow” and “Supernatural” currently air on The CW.

Beauvais played Hanna Linden, a senior partner at the Infeld Daniels firm and Damien Karp’s ex on the TNT’s series.

The actress tweeted the news Wednesday: “Just found out that I’m not being ‘asked back on @franklinandbash #stunned.”

The Vampire Diaries Olympic gold medalist Gabby Douglas has been tapped to guest star on “The Vampire Diaries.”

The CW confirmed the casting however, details surrounding Gabby’s role are being kept under wraps. Nina Dobrev, who plays Elena first tweeted the news.

“Gossip Girl” alum John Shea, who played Blair’s father on The CW drama will portray Cary Agos’ father on “The Good Wife.” TVLine reports, Shea’s character is a little “awkward and stiff.”

‘Reed Between the Lines’ Casts Three Series Regulars And More Casting News

Three series regulars are joining BET’s “Reed Between the Lines.”

THR reports, Tony Rock, Charlie Robinson and Michole White have been booked to join the series. Tony Rock is set to play Julius Darren, Alex’s (Malcolm-Jamal Warner) oldest friend who appears to give Alex unwanted marriage advice.

Additionally, Alex’s friend Simone Winters will be portrayed by Michole White.  Winters is a single doctor, who is sick of hearing how she intimidates men.

Lastly, Charlie Robinson has been cast as Alex’s father, Monroe Reed.

“Reed Between the Lines” returns next year.
